Coronavirus
Update 28th May 2020
Since the start of the coronavirus pandemic, we have been trying to come up with a solution for carrying on trading whilst prioritizing the health and welfare of our customers and ourselves. So far we have been carrying out contact-free delivery/collection and contact-free payment. For us this seemed like the best solution to ensure that everyone could keep safe and well.
Given the changes in government guidance from 15th June we now have to make the decision as to whether or not we will return to trading on our Eign Gate stall. Currently we are yet to decide which is the best way to proceed. The safety of our customers and ourselves is the number one priority, and we are unsure how we will be able to manage social distancing in the middle of town!

Update 3rd April 2020
After making inquiries it would appear that we are allowed to trade but offering a delivery service only, as long as we follow the government guidelines. This will mean that we cannot have any face to face contact with our customers and payment has to be cashless. So therefore we intend to take orders and payment over the phone and then deliver.

In times such as these, it is hard to know what the best thing is to do; we have decided that it would be irresponsible to try and trade in any manner and so will not be doing so until further notice. Some businesses are offering delivery or collection options to try and trade within the confines of government measures. However, to the best of our knowledge, plants are not listed as an essential item and so we will not be offering these options until more detailed guidelines are released by the government.
We hope that in the near future there will be more clarity as to who can and cannot trade, and thus we will be able to offer our customers more options. This may include ordering off our website and then operating either a collection or delivery system. We are presently formulating a plan as to how best to implement this.
At present we have a large quantity of early spring bedding plants which, unfortunately, are likely to be past their best by the time restrictions are lifted. However, we have an array of alpines and early season perennials and will have pansies and violas ready in around a month.

As above, we will not be at our Eign Gate store until further notice.
